Justice Rajesh Bindal inaugurates DLSA front office

UDHAMPUR, Feb 23: Executive Chairman State Legal Services Authority and Administrative Judge for Udhampur District, Justice Rajesh Bindal, today inaugurated front office of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) at Udhampur Court Complex. Member Secretary SLSA, Mohmmad Akram Choudhary, Chairman District Legal Services Authority Udhampur Principal District & Session Judge Sanjay Parihar, Additional Session Judge C.L Bavoria, Sub Judge CJM B.L Jaswal, Secretary DLSA Sandeep Kour, Sub Judge Special Mobile Magistrate Ramesh Kumar, Munsiff Additional Mobile Magistrate traffic Anjana Rajput, District Mobile Magistrate Traffic Ajay Kumar, Munsiff Junaid Imtyaz Mir, Senior Superintendent of Police Rajiv Omparkash Panday, ADDC Ashok Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner Gurvinder Jeet Singh, Additional SP Rajinder Katoch, Dy SP Himat Singh, Bar President J.D Slathia and Bar members were present on the occasion.
The front office has been established for providing free legal aid and legal aid services to litigants and all those eligible for legal aid.
The office will remain open on all working days, where a retainer lawyer and paralegal volunteer would remain available for providing legal advice and to disseminate information about various schemes.
Justice Bindal, later, inspected all courts at the headquarters and interacted with the judicial officers. He laid emphasis on speedy disposal of cases besides ensuring that litigants are provided healthy atmosphere.
It was informed that the awarded amounts in cases shall directly be transferred to the beneficiaries account online.
Justice Bindal interacted with the Bar members and gave patient hearing to the demand put forth by the Bar members.
He exhorted upon the Bar members to take maximum benefit by adopting various modes of settlement of cases and recourse to ADR. He asked the nominated mediators to render helping hand for settlement of cases through mediation.
Justice Bindal also inspected the court building and site where the ADR center is proposed to be constructed.
