Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 2: Viraj Kala Kendra, Jammu today organized a felicitation function at Viraj Bal Bhavan, a school for slum children at Khanpur, Nagrota, Jammu to honour their excellent performance in 34th Patliputra Natya Mahutsav- 2019 at Prangan, Patna (Bihar) where they performed in Hindi play 'Taandav' written and directed by Rajneesh Gupta, head of Drama wing of Viraj Kala Kendra, Jammu. Prof. Sarla Kohli, former Principal, Govt. College for Women & Vice President, VKK was the chief guest. Dr. Bhavneet Kaur, art enthusiast from Chandigarh was the guest of honour. Jang S. Verman, senior artist & columnist on art & culture and Smt. Susham Sharma senior theatre personality were the special guests on this occasion. Raj Bharti, President VKK presided over the function. The students of Viraj Bal Bhavan presented cultural items on the patriotic themes. Appreciating the theatre team of Viraj Kal Kendra, Jammu Raj Bharti said that Late Rita Jitendra had introduced Rajneesh Gupta as head of Drama wing of VKK. She said that the team of Rajneesh Gupta has performed well in theatre activities of the Kendra. Sarla Kohli in her address said that the children of the Viraj Bal Bhavan have shown very good cultural programme under the guidance of teachers. She appreciated the team of drama wing of Viraj Kala Kendra, Jammu for carrying the message of good theatre of Jammu in other states of the country.
