Jammu, Mar 2: Kishtwar police on Saturday produced three Jamat-e-Islami leaders, arrested during a series of raids last night, before the court of Munsif Judge Kishtwar, who remanded them to four days police custody. As per the details available with "Early Times", the incumbent District President Jamat-e-Islami Kishtwar Abdul Majeed Sheikh, former District President Kishtwar Dr Iqbal Malik and senior leader Ghulam Qadir Butt were produced before the court by the police party led by Additional Superintendent of Police Kishtwar Nisar Ahmed Khan. After going through the material evidence on record, Munsif Judge Kishtwar sent them on four day police remand. Meanwhile Kishtwar police after registration of an FIR No. 27 U/S 8/10 Unlawful Act conducted raids at various places and deep assets of Jamat-e-Islami at Kishtwar. Police seized some computers, provocative literature beside also seized the office of the Jamat-e-Islami at Semna colony. The police sources informed the "Early Times" that the process to freeze the bank accounts of the Jamat-e-Islami Kishtwar has been initiated and added that the formalities for the same had been completed today itself. The sources said that another top leader of the organization Ghulam Nabi Gundna was not found at home. It has come to fore that he (Gundna) is undergoing treatment at some Jammu hospital. "He could be arrested in coming days," they added. Sources said that many youth leaders including some government employees are on the radar and will be arrested soon. Some among the top leaders have already gone underground to avoid the arrest.
