NMC seeks amendment in conditions on payment of 7th pay commission arrears | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 5: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) has appealed to Governor administration to modify previous government's order regarding the condition imposed on payment of arrears of 7th pay commission to pensioners have eighty years of age only in one installment. "Every pensioners plight is same, the pensioners should not be discriminated on the basis of age, sex and service rendered. Since at a certain age, pensioners belonging to any age have cope up with common man degenerative problems and such cannot be categorized and the arrears should now be paid in one go in the month of April 2019 itself," Subash Shastri said this while addressing workers. Shastri also appealed governor's administration to raise the medical allowance of pensioners up to realistic ceiling of one thousand rupees as a very meager amount of Rs.300/- being paid presently is too insufficient to full fill their medical needs. Setting up of wage head for regularly disbursement of wages of daily rated workers beside immediate amendment in SRO 520 etc were other demands highlighted in the meeting. Among others who were also present on the occasion included Rajan Babu Khajuria, B S Jamwal, Surinder Kumar, Ramesh Sharma, Tarsem and several others. |
