PHE casual, CP workers hold meeting over pending issues
3/5/2019 10:21:54 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 5: Jammu and Kashmir Casual and CP Workers of PHE Department conveyed a meeting today discussing and highlighting prolonged grievances and financial hardships because of non serious and callous approach adopted by J&K Government of not releasing pending wages for years and not regularising services.
One of the employee said that earlier the association intended to present a memorandum to Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India on his visit to J&K on 3rd February, but leaders of association were taken into custody by the J&K Police 2nd February, and did not allow them to present the memorandum.
He added, therefore the workers association staged a Dharna at Janter Manter last month to bring into the notice of Central Government, the grievances and hardships, because the J&K state presently is being governed under Presidential Rule and also presented a Memorandum at Delhi. Despite all these efforts the state Government has taken no redress action to mitigate our demands.
He added that now it has been decided to convey to the government that if our prolonged demands are not addressed within three days the association will be forced to intensify the rallies anti strike.
