After batting for militants, Mehbooba now objects to Jai-Hind slogan
It's getting murkier with each passing day

Early Times Report
Srinagar, Mar 5: Once again, PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti has upped the ante against 'Jai- Hind' slogan, making it load and clear that her affiliations are somewhere else.
"Little surprise that with General Elections round the corner, the josh of patriotism hasn't even spared the skies," she tweeted.
An official advisory by issued by Air India on Monday, read, "With immediate effect, all are required to announce "Jai Hind" at the end of every announcement after a slight pause and with much fervour."
The national carrier, which has around 3,500 cabin crew and over 1,200 cockpit crew, passed the directive days after Ashwani Lohani took charge as Chairman and Managing Director of Air India yet again.
Lohani had issued the same directive during his previous tenure as Air India chief earlier in 2016 as well. "The captain of a flight should often connect with passengers during the journey and, at the end of first address, using the words ''Jai Hind'' would make a tremendous impact," Lohani said in a communication to his staff in May 2016.
"The cabin crew should greet the passengers while emplaning and deplaning with a ''Namaskaar'' as was the tradition. A smile on the face and conversing sweetly and politely without an iota of irritation would be a good thing, he had instructed the crew.
It is, meanwhile, beyond one's understanding that why Mehbooba has objected to the slogan and tried to politicise it. "She doesn't have any problem with Pro Pakistan slogans and those who raise them. She even has become a shield for anti-national elements in Kashmir. She can support militants but not the slogans that hail the country," wrote one netizen while reacting to the PDP chief's tweet.
Mehbooba earlier lauded Pakistan PM Imran Khan for releasing captured IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman and said that he acted like a statesman. She also expressed hope that the Indian leadership will also reciprocate this peace gesture. Briefing the joint session of the parliament PM Khan announced that Varthaman will be released tomorrow as a "peace gesture".
"Good news, whole nation will be relieved. I hope our leadership will also reciprocate this peace gesture. I hope Imran Khan will stand by his word and take steps on Indian dossier on Pulwama attack," Mehbooba said. It has been seen perhaps for the first time that when the entire nation was standing united against Pakistan, it was the PDP leadership that hailed the PAK PM much ahead of him being hailed by his own countrymen.
Prior to this, the PDP President had stated that she was ready to offer even separatists to join her. "I think the time has come when we all should fight and resist ourselves. I even want separatists to join so that we could a joint effort all together," Mehbooba said and added that she is also in touch with NC vice President Omar Abdullah and they both will adopt a long term strategy.
