Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 6: A meeting of executive body of Shormani Akli Dal (Badal) was held under the chairmanship of Jethader Muhinder Singh Party President to discuss and deliberate the ensuing election in the state. It was viewed with concern during deliberations that community feels completely neglected in both political & economical matters, as no representations has been given to the community either in state or at centre level. The old age practice initiated by His Excellency the Maharaj of J&K state to nominate two representatives of community one from each division in the state legislature but previous dispensation in the state have completely ignored the community although tall promises were made by the major political parties at the time of elections that community will be given representation in state legislatures & cabinet the community has been completely alienated in economic matters as well. One glaring example is non implementation of Minority commission in J&K State and depriving the community of legimate rights guaranteed under constitution. In case of employment opportunities the community has been completely neglected one glaring example is promulgation of SRO No 425 of 2017. It has necessitated the community to rethink about the political future as community has a sizeable vote bank in both parliamentary and assembly segments in the state. Even in some pockets we are in a position to have a decisive role in defeat or success of contesting candidates of other political parties speakers stressed that community should participate in ensuing election either of their own or could have an alliance with other like minded parties in different segments.
