Various political parties condemn grenade blast at Bus Stand

JAMMU, Mar 7: Grenade blast at Jammu Bus Stand Jammu has evoked widespread condemnation from various political parties.
Former Minister and Congress leader Sham Lal Sharma today condemned the grenade attack at Jammu Bus Stand in strongest terms, in which one 17 year old boy killed and several civilians were injured. Sham Lal Sharma said that anti national elements are trying to create Kashmir like situation in Jammu which is otherwise peaceful. The Government should make all out efforts to curb these activities with heavy hand and not to allow these elements to succeed in their nefarious designs. I wish all the injured persons a speedy recovery. "The incident raises a serious question mark on arrangements with regard to security scenario especially when the state is preparing for parliamentary and assembly elections in a shorter period of time. After the previous grenade blast at bus stand Jammu deserving precautions were not taken giving an opportunity to anti-social elements to execute their nefarious designs", Sham LaL Sharma said.
Shri Ram Sena (SRS), Jammu and Kashmir, has strongly condemned the blast at Jammu bus stand on Thursday that left a person dead and over 25 others injured. Condemning what it termed as a "cowardly act of the miscreants", Shri Ram Sena State President Rajiv Mahajan appealed to the people of Jammu division to rise above party levels and work together in fighting the mischievous elements. He said the blast was carried out to destabilise the peaceful atmosphere of Jammu. "SRS will help the administration in every respect to put a check on the miscreants," he said and added, "The people of Jammu need to be more vigilant as mischievous elements are in search of an opportunity to spoil peaceful atmosphere." He demanded the government to take serious cue of this blast and immediately geared up security grid to avoid any further untoward incident in the Jammu region.
Youth Congress J&K team lead by State President Uday Bhanu Chib has visited Government Medical College Hospital Jammu to enquire about the condition of people injured in the grenade blast at Jammu bus stand . They also interacted with the injured patients and their attendants and appealed to the administration that best medical facilities would be provided to them. JKPYC has strongly condemned the grenade Blast at Jammu Bus Stand.Youth congress J&K incharge Goldy kamboj said it unfortunate that despite Bomb Blast at Bust stand. J&K Youth President Uday Bhanu Chib said previously concern authorities did not take steps which resulted in another's bomb blast at bus stand. He said This is the third Grenade attack by terrorists in the bus stand area of the city since May last year. Youth congress vice president Pankaj Basotra asked the Governor Administration to take care of security scenario so that people can fearlessly participate in their routine affairs. Those visited GMC are Uday Chib , Pankaj Basotra V Chetan Wanchoo , Vishal Chopra Barinder Partap and Jagjot Singh . Youth leaders said people have been died and injured in a grenade attack in Jammu, which comes exactly three weeks after the terror attack in Pulwama.
Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has strongly condemned the bomb blast at Bus Stand Jammu, in which several persons were seriously injured. President JKPCC GA Mir has strongly condemned the blast and expressed concern over incident. He said that this kind of incident in the heart of city is a matter of great concern when the security agencies on high alert. He said that this raise question mark over the alertness of security apparatus and indicates that the anti-national elements have shown their strength to strike in the busiest area which is highly guarded. He said that the lapses should be looked into and it shows the total failure of Centre and State Govt. to deal with such situation, as it is 3rd blast in bus stand area in recent past. He expressed sympathies with injured and prayed for their early recovery. Several other senior congress leaders have also condemned the blast they include S/Shri Tara Chand, Madan Lal Sharma, Mohd. Sharief Niaz, Mula Ram, Raman Bhalla, R.S. Chib, G.M. Saroori, Ravinder Sharma, , Th. Manmohan Singh, Th. Balwan Singh, Vikramaditya Singh, Smt. Indu Pawarra, Vikram Malhotra, Hari Singh Chib, Pranav Shagot , Shiv Kumar Sharma (INTUC), Pawan Raina, Uday Bhanu Chib (PYC), Raqeeq Khan (NSUI) and Rajesh Sadotra (Seva Dal).
Manvadhikar National Party Jammu and Kashmir unit condemned the dastardly grenade attack by militants on passenger bus at Bus Stand Jammu today. In a press hand out issued by party State spokesperson Ravinder Raina stated that Manvadhikar National Party J& K unit has condemned the dastardly grenade attack by militants on passenger bus at stand Jammu today in which more than 26 persons are injured while some seriously injured. State president Sanjay Dhar , Vishal Jotahi i/C State , Vinod pandita State General secretary , K L Raina state Secretary and Ashok Koul Joint Secretary state , Arun Gupta, Gulshan Kumar and Balbir Singh expressed sympathy with the injured. They appealed Government to identify the culprits and bring them to justice and also provide special medical treatment to the injured. They further urged the Governor administration to take stringent action against such elements, who are bent upon disturbing peaceful atmosphere in the State.
Er.Rishi Kaul Kilam National Executive Council Member NSC student wing of NCP condemned the Grenade attack at Bus Stand Jammu and termed it as most unfortunate and a mere frustration of those who want to break and spoil the communal harmony and brotherhood of the people of Jammu province. Er. Rishi visited the victims in GMC hospital and enquired about their welfare. He showed solidarity and sympathy with the injured people. Er. Rishi added that some people want to destabilize Jammu province also. Er. Rishi said that we are proud of the people of Jammu provience as they are peace loving and friendly. Er. Rishi while lambasting on some of the leaders who have lost the power mislead the people by giving provocative speeches and statements adding fuel to the fire .
Kr. Narayan Singh President Shri Amar Kshatriya (Rajput) Sabha J&K condemned the Greande attach by anti social elements at Jammu Bus Stand in which some peoples were injured. He appealed the State Government to take stringent action against these elements so that they do not dare to recur such incidence in future.
National Conference on Thursday condemned the grenade throwing incident at Jammu Bus Stand causing injuries to a number of innocent people. "We pray for early recovery of the injured in the grenade attack", Provincial President Devender Singh Rana said, adding that such cowardice acts were a challenge to civilized society, which are needed to be fought unitedly. Rana, along with former minister Surjeet Singh Slathia, State Secretary Rattan Lal Gupta, former MLC Trilochan Singh Wazir and Provincial Secretary Pradeep Bali visited the Bus Stand and interacted with the people. They expressed solidarity with the injured and their families.
Province People Forum (JPPF) has termed the ghastly act as cowardice and frustration oriented committed by the Pak sponsored ISI under its nefarious design to spread militancy throughout the state. Addressing the hurriedly called meeting President Judge Pavittar Singh Bhardwaj said Pakistan shall never succeed in its conspiracy to communalize the situation and disturb the otherwise peaceful atmosphere in Jammu where people from all religions whether Hindu, Muslim, Sikhs and others have been living peacefully maintaining a sacred bond of brotherhood and amity since long.
The members wished speedy recovery to the injured in the grenade attack and sought immediate specialized treatment for the critically injured by the state at all costs and demanded proper compensation to the needy whose livelihood has been put at stake by the militancy attack.
Besides MS Katoch, working president, the meeting was attended by Inderjeet Khajuria, ML Sharma, Avinash Bhatia, Suneeta Sharma, Kamla Sharma, Prithvi Singh Slathia, Surinder Veer, Balwan Singh, Prof OP Sharma and others.
All J&K Youth Federation (AJKYF) has condemned the grenade attack by suspected terrorists at the crowded general bus stand in the heart of the city today.
Spokesperson AJKYF, Nakul Sharma expressed serious concern over the grenade attack causing loss of 17 years old boy and more than two dozen serious injuries to the tourists and locals.
Sharma urged upon the Governor to review the safety measures of the public areas of Jammu especially General Bus Stand and Railway Station and appealed to the general public to stay calm and maintain peace and further said that forces of terror shall never succeed in their nefarious designs.
Sharma demanded adequate compensation to the deceased and free medical facilities to the victims.
A delegation comprising Nakul Sharma, Haroon Rashid, Sanjay Sandhu, Fazal-ul-Haq Choudhary, Sahil Jamwal, Er Ankit Sharma and Er Shatmanyu Sharma also paid a visit to the Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for ensuring proper treatment and facilities to the injured.
J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, today held a meeting in the High Court Complex, Jammu, under the President ship of B.S. Slathia,. Adv., President J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, where it was unanimously resolved to strongly condemn the recent grenade attack by anti national elements at Bus Stand, Jammu, Slathia urged and impressed upon the need of strengthening security set-up in the entire Jammu and to identify and bring to book the sleeper cells active in and around Jammu. He further urged for immediate arrest of those who are responsible for the recent attack at Bus stand Jammu.
Slathia, further stated, that it is a complete failure on the part of security agencies of the State Government in dealing with such elements - rather they have been found more busy in harassing the nationalists youth of Jammu, who have been fighting against anti-national elements operating in and around Jammu with the active support of sleeper cells. He further cautioned the State Government that this type of attack should not be allowed to be repeated by taking appropriate steps to deal with such elements. Slathia, also expressed his deep condolences to the bereaved families whose kith and kins have been killed and injured.
District Congress Committee Jammu Rural strongly condemned the Grenade attack at General Bus Stand terming such incidents as highly unfortunate and unacceptable. In a statement issued here on Thursday, Hari Singh Chib, President DCC Jammu Rural said that the incident has reflected the ruthless face of terrorism and how innocent citizens are being targeted by the nefarious miscreants and ruthless savages without any fault. He demanded stern action against those involved in such cowardly act, asking the state administration to ensure protection of civilian population isn't compromised at any level. Chib appealed to the people of Jammu to maintain the communal harmony and brotherhood. He also expressed grief over the demise of a youth killed in the aforesaid attack and prayed to Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give courage to the family members to bear this irreparable loss. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of those who were injured in the attack.
An emergency meeting of all the executive members of Arya Pratinidhi Sabah Jammu and Kashmir was convened today under the Presidentship of Arun Choudhary wherein a resolution was passed to condemn the blast which took place outside Bus Stand, Jammu. A special prayer was performed for the speedy recovery of all the injured and also prayed to the God almighty for the eternal peace to the departed souls. PRATINIDHI SABAH lauded the role of the police for apprehending the alleged culprit of the blast. Rich tributes were paid by Arun Gupta, Arun Arya , Balwan Singh , Rajive Sethi and others as well.
