Kishtwar, Mar 9: District Legal Services Authority in collaboration with Tehsil Legal Services Committee Kishtwar was organized a National Lok Adalat today on 9th March, 2019 in the District Court Complex Kishtwar, under the Chairmanship of S. C. Katal, Principal District and Sessions Judge Kishtwar, for the settlement of the cases referred by different Courts of District Kishtwar.
Two benches conducted the National Lok Adalat. The first Bench was consisting of Principal District and Sessions Judge Kishtwar and Touqeer Mushtaq, Advocate Kishtwar. The Second bench was consisting of Touseef Ahmed Magray, Munsiff/JMIC Kishtwar.
A total of 200 cases were referred to National Lok Adalat, out of which 57 cases were amicably settled and total amount of Rs.77,17,100 /- was settled in all cases. The members of Bar Association Kishtwar and public at large participated in the National Lok Adalat.
S.C. Katal, Principal District & Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Kishtwar,Touseef Ahmed Magray Munsiff/JMIC, Kishtwar thanked the general public for making this Lok Adalat a success and further appealed to resolve their disputes through the Lok Adalats as it provides quick and economical justice.
It also saves the valuable time, money and energy of the litigants. Every award of the Lok Adalat is final and no appeal shall lie to any court against the award passed by the Lok Adalat. |
