| Blind hit and run case solved within an hour of the incident | | | Early Times Report
Kathua Mar 13: Police Station Hiranagar claimed to have solved blind hit and run accident case within hours of the incident in which one person lost his life.
Police spokesman said that the incident took place in the intervening night when a pedestrian was rash and negligently hit by an unknown car going towards Jammu at Gurah Mundian Hiranagar and fled away.
"Police team after receiving the information rushed to spot and found the person dead," said spokesman adding that police instantly alert all the checkpoints especially on NHW and police team under the directions of Inspector JJ Bhagat SHO-Hiranagar based on gathered information about unknown vehicle succeeded in locating the car bearing registration number JK0BG-5121 and its driver namely Amit Gupta of Channi Himmat Jammu. Police took driver into custody along with the car.
The deceased was identified as Ramu (24) son of Suriya of Satna Madhya Pradesh presently staying at Gurah Mundian Hiranagar. The body of the deceased was shifted to SDH Hiranagar. |
