Sahitya Akademi, Cultural Academy organize seminar | | | Early Times Report
RAMBAN, Mar 18: With an aim to promote Kashmiri Language and Culture in state a two-day long seminar was commenced at Government Degree College, Banihal being organized by the Sahitya Akademi New Delhi in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL). The programme was presided by the secretary JKAACL Dr. Aziz Hajjani. On the first day of Seminar inaugural session was presided over by the principal of host college Mushtaq Ahmed Sohil, representative of Sahitya Akademi, Ajay Sharma, Manshoor Banihali, Prof Shad Ramzan , Shabir Ahmed Shabir, Zarif Ahmed Zarif, Zahir Banihali, Gohar Banihali, Dilfagar Banihali, Shaker Shafi, AK Shams, Mohidin Ajiz and various other prominent poets and linguists from Kashmir valley participated in the seminar. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Aziz Hajjani said that it is the duty of the young generation to preserve their culture and identity. We should produce such a strong talent which would be enhancing the use of Kashmiri language in state administration setup, he said. He congratulated administration of Banihal College for organizing a successful seminar on a vital topic. |
