JKEJAC dismayed over discrimination of government employee | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 18: An emergency meeting of J&K Employees Joint Action Committee (JKEJAC) (R) held an emergency meeting today under the leadership of State President Babu Hussain Malik to discuss the alleged discrimination being done with the employees working outside the Civil Secretariat. All the members in one voice strongly condemned the recent attack by Parvaiz, a member of the Civil Secretariat Employees Union on one of the officials of Estates Department who was performing his duties in Government Quarter at Tangey Wali Gali, Kachi Chawani Jammu. Parvaiz was allegedly mercilessly beaten up and slapped the said official and used unparliamentarily language. Later Parvaiz slapped a woman, who is residing in the premises of government quarters there. Parvaiz threatened the officials of Estates Department of dire consequences on the pretext that he is very powerful and is having high approach being the member of Civil Secretariat Employees Union. A protest was also held in Government Quarters to arrest the culprit at an earliest. Babu Hussain Malik, State President, EJAC(R) also supported the ongoing strike by the employees of Estates Department against the high handedness and illegal interference in the working of Estates Department by the members of Civil Secretariat Employees Union led by President Gulam Rasool Mir. All the members in one voice appealed to the Governor to take action against the culprit Sh. Parvaiz at earliest otherwise employees' will be forced to come on streets to get the genuine rights. |
