Udhampur, Mar 18: District Election Officer, Dr. Piyush Singla today chaired a meeting of ROs and Nodal Officers to review the preparedness for upcoming Parliamentary Election in the district.
Threadbare discussions were held on various issues and role of different teams, Man power and material management, Transport plan, Implementation of MCMC, VST, SST, VVT, food and civic amenities, health care, transportation etc discussed in detail.
The DEO stressed on coordination among different teams and timely dispatch of polling parties, security personnel, and polling material especially in far flung areas for the smooth conduct of elections in the district.
The DEO briefed all the nodal officers about their duties and responsibilities during election period and also advised them to work in an impartial manner with utmost dedication to implement MCC and other guidelines of Election Commission of India in letter and spirit. DEO asked MCMC team to monitor all electronic channels, social apps and print media strictly as per ECI guidelines.
Among others present were Additional District Development Commissioner, Ashok Kumar, Chief Planning Officer, Rajeev Bhushan, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Vikar Giri, Sub Divisional Magistrate, Ramnagar Farrukh Qazi, SDM, Chenani Abdul Sattar, Dy DEO, Kusum Chib, ARTO, Rachna Sharma, DIO NIC, Anil Sharma, DIO, Er, Sajad Bashir Somberia besides other officers were present on the occasion. |
