Police officers with 'proven' track record assist BJP 'Chowkidars' in J&K?

Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 18: BJP leaders in Jammu region prefixing "Mein Bhi Chowkidar" to their names has no takers as many people believe that these leaders are no different from their predecessors.
It's in place to mention here that BJP has launched a countrywide 'Mein Bhi Chowkidar' campaign, which is seen as its counter offensive on the Opposition which had attacked the Prime Minister Narendra Modi over this name.
"One wonders what Jammu BJP leaders want to prove by pre-fixing Mein Bhi Chowkidar before their names. When they were sharing power with the Peoples Democratic Party in Jammu and Kashmir they used to claim that they are being ignored and PDP takes all the decisions but the recent developments have proved that they are no victims but master players," said an analyst.
He said that it has been more than nine months since the day PDP-BJP alliance ended in Jammu and Kashmir but the ground situation has not changed, "BJP leaders are still calling the shots and they are making all the moves despite New Delhi ruling Jammu and Kashmir directly," the analyst added.
"We had expected that during the BJP's rule police
"Everyone knows the police officers, whom Chowkidars having given plum postings to. Chowkidars have been instrumental in posting police officers with proven record at important positions so that they could assist them in their Chowkidari."
epartment would get upright officers. Someone needs to ask these Chowkidars how many honest officers they placed at top posts during their tenure?" the analyst questioned. "Everyone knows the police officers, whom Chowkidars having given plum postings to. Chowkidars have been instrumental in posting police officers with proven record at important positions so that they could assist them in their Chowkidari," he added.
A politician said it's an "open secret" that BJP leaders are covertly handling the administrative affairs of the state. "The slogan of Mein Bhi Chowkidar is just confined to their twitter handles only. Everyone knows what kind of Chowkidari they have been doing during the past five years," he said, adding that "pre-fixing chowkidars with their names hardly makes any difference. Their kathani and karni doesn't match."
He said that BJP leaders in Jammu region should stop "playing games" and need to sit back and introspect why there is so much of anger against them in Jammu, where people went out of the way and voted for them. "Chowkidars berated the mandate they had been given by the people of Jammu region," he added.
