Kathua, Mar 20: The festival of Holi was celebrated with great pomp and fervor at Ramisht College of Education Basohli. The students of B.Ed. course semester 2nd and the staff of the college got together to celebrate HOLI in the campus. The HOLI celebration concluded with distribution of Gujia, the tradition sweet dedicated to this festival. HOLI is an ancient festival of INDIA and was originally known as HOLIKA. HOLI is unique festival of colours, harmony and brotherhood. It gives immense pleasure to see such a blend of culture under one banner to experience the ability of people to unite and transcend boundaries of cast, creed, race, culture and gender. It is a festival which is gaining importance and popularity each year. |
