JSS Kathua celebrates Holi | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Mar 20: Management and students together celebrated the festival of colors, fun and frolic at Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua, Holi which is one of the quintessential festival of India is celebrated with a lot of joy throughout the country, the festival goes by unique names and is celebrated with different traditions in different regions of the country, it is celebrated in the month of phalgun in the month of March. Entire country is seen in a colorful look on this day. Jammu Sanskriti School, Kathua celebrated holi with great pomp and fervor. The students of Pre Primary wing and the staff got together to play "Phoolon ki Holi"along with a colorful holi in which the students applied colors to each other and applied "Gulal" which are scented colored powder to one another with great enthusiasm. School Principal Mili R Sumbria said that holi is considered as the festival of togetherness and vibrance. She narrated the students the story of Holika and highlighted the significance of the festival. She also added that this colorful festival is a significance of sacrifices and love. The Principal also emphasized the symbolic resemblance of each color such as orange signifies progress, blue for longitivity, red for prosperity, pink for friendship and green for happiness. It was a day filled with excitement and gaiety. |
