Poonch people allege `loot' by private schools | | | Early Times Report Poonch, Mar 20: The private schools here have resorted to loot in the name of tuition fee and other expenses. According to aggrieved parents, it has become almost impossible for them to pay the amount demanded by the schools. Expressing serious concern over what they called "extortion in the name of education", the parents have sought intervention of the higher authorities to fix a fee structure for the private schools. The locals said the authorities must provide proper staff and infrastructure to government schools and make it mandatory for the government employees to send their wards to government run schools. "This alone can relieve the hapless people from the hegemony of private schools," they said. |
