KISHTWAR, Mar 20: A bench of High Court comprising Justice Rashid Ali Dar in a case of acceptance of tenders by President Municipal Committee Doda after the expiry of the last date of submission of the tenders has put the auction of the Lorry Adda contract at Pul Doda for the year 2019 -20 on hold and listed the case on 8-5-2019 for next date of hearing beside directed the respondent to reply the notices issued to them by or before 1-05-2019.
As per the details available with "Early Times" in case OWP bearing No.441/2019 titled Shahid Akhtar Malik and others through Commissioner Secretary to Governemnt Housing and Urban Development Department, Director Urban Local Bodies Jammu, Executive Municipal Committee Doda, Ved Prakesh Gupta President MC Doda and others was filed before the High court seeking direction to the official respondents to strictly comply with the terms and conditions prescribed in the NIT No.MC /D/19/2928 -31 dated 27.2.2019 and only consider the tender forms of the candidates whose forms have been duly received by the executive officer Municipal Committee Doda on or before 15th march 2019 while finalizing the tender process.
The High Court further directed to the executive officer Municipal Committee Doda not to entertain any tender forms for the auction of lorry Adda/entry fee for the year 2019-20 issued by municipal committee vide NIT No.MC/D/19/2928dated 27 /2/2019 Received by the respondent No 3 after 15 of march 2019 which is prescribed as cut of date.
Advocate N.D Qazi submitted before the court that the respondent have violated the terms and conditions of the NIT dated 27/2/2019 by accepting the tender forms of blue eyed person after the cut of date. Justice Rashid Ali Dar after hearing the arguments issued notice to the concerned department and passes the directions that 'till next date before the bench, allotment to be made in terms of NIT dated 27/02/2019 shall remain on hold".
