Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 21: Even as BJP this evening has announced to repeat sitting Lok Sabha members for both the seats of Jammu province, some party legislators have reportedly made it clear to the high command that they will not take responsibility of ensuring victory of party candidates.
Credible sources said that majority of the party legislators are annoyed with the style of functioning of the party Lok Sabha members so they bluntly told party leadership that it will be impossible for them to repeat 2014 performance in their respective constituencies.
"BJP high command has directed party general secretary (organization) Ashok Koul to mollify all enraged legislators to ensure victory of party candidates on both the Lok Sabha seats", sources said and added that Ashok Koul has himself taken campaign in his hand because it was all due to direct intervention of Ashok Koul that party has repeated both the candidates.
Credible sources said that despite reservation by some legislastors, Ashok Koul has taken responsibility of ensuring victory of both the party candidates for Jammu-Poonch and Kathua-Udhampur seats. High command has also given responsibility of ensuring victory of both the candidates.
Credible sources said that when panels of potential candidates were formed, Ashok Koul made it sure that only candidates of his choice would be finalized by the high command. "Although Ashok Koul tried his best to manage mandate for Ravinder Raina for Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat, BJP national president Amit Shah is not happy with the style of the functioning of Raina so his candidature was not finalized", source said and added that Jugal Kishore is also Koul's candidates.
