| For malpractices, SHO makes internal arrangement for munshi | | |

Jammu, Mar 21: An Inspector of Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) who is posted as Station House Officer (SHO) of a police station along the National Highway in Jammu-Kathua Samba (JKS) Range has made internal arrangements of munshi by appointing his favourite cop at the important position.
In brazen misuse of authority, the SHO has directed his munshi not to release vehicles involved in accidents even if they get release orders from the court.
Surprisingly appointing a munshi is the domain of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of the District.
According to sources in police department, the munshi gets money from the vehicle owners and shares the bounty with the SHO.
A retired police officer while talking to Early Times stated that it is grave violation of rules and the SHO seems more powerful than SSP of the district who is running the police station on his own will. |
