Disciplining Pakistan
Omkar Dattatray3/26/2019 11:54:09 PM
International community or for that matter the big five of the UNSC have the obligation to discipline the rouge state of Pakistan which is unnecessarily meddling into the internal affairs of its neighboring country India. Pakistan is the originator and the mother of the terrorism or we can say with certainty that Pakistan is the big nursery of fundamentalism, extremism and terrorism and that country in busy indoctrinating the youth of J&K and luring them into so called Jihad. The radicalised youth are spitting venom and hatred against everything Indian and this is a very sad development indeed and is rightly a cause of concern to all right thinking people. If you want peace and progress in South Asian Region all that is needed is to discipline the Pakistani state so that they shun their old policy of interfering and sponsoring terrorism and proxy war.
As that country knows it well that they cannot fight a conventional war with India as India has a professional and disciplined big army and Pakistan is no match to Indian military prowess and therefore our neighbor is content with exporting terror to India and is indulging in proxy war in India and the world community has an obligation to discipline Pakistan and reign in the rouge elements of that country so that Pakistan abjures cult of violence and hatred and shuns the dangerous path of terrorism and proxy war. But in the efforts of neutralization of terror machine and proxy war Pakistan's close alley and friend China is becoming an obstruction.
A minister of China has said that it is under an obligation to safeguard the territorial integrity of Pakistan. By the way why is china propagating its policy of helping Pakistan and obstructing the efforts of the global community to reign in Pakistan.
It is so good and in the fitness of things that Pakistan should be made to understand and realize the futility of proxy war and sponsoring terrorism in any form in its neighboring peace loving country.
In doing so global community can persuade Pakistan by way of giving suggestions and can also give warnings to Pakistan of invoking sanctions against that country if Pakistan fails to fall in line and stop exporting of terrorism to India and other countries.
No doubt Pakistan the mother of terrorism is itself facing the monster of terrorism that it itself created and today is facing worst effects of it but even then it is overtly and covertly supporting and sponsoring terrorism to India and avenging the division of Pakistan in 1971.
Whatever it is Pakistan needs to take a rational, pragmatic and practical step of stopping its soil to be used by terrorists and also halt the support to sponsoring proxy war and terrorism to India and in this lies the good and well being of that country as well. It follows that if a country fails to abide by the rules of discipline and indulge in proxy war in other countries especially Indian, it should be warned of dire consequences by the international community and only then the war against terror can be won and not otherwise.
Therefore it is important to pressurize Pakistan so that the country gives up its cherished policy of supporting and exporting terror in any form and in doing so the global community should make an honest and sincere beginning and should not make a difference between a good terrorist and a bad terrorist because a terrorist is a terrorist pure and total.
But then there is a dichotomy that one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter and it should be seen that terrorist are dealt with as terrorists and proper distinction be made between a terrorist and a freedom fighter. But unfortunately this is not happening but now this area should be looked into. Back to disciplining Pakistan, it is important that Pakistan is made abjure violence & terror and its support to pave way for a peaceful Indian sub continent and peaceful south Asian region as well.
All eyes are set on the global community.
It is hoped that finally they will take a call. To make those disciplined who do not abide by the discipline is the need of the hour.
To remain in discipline and exhibit it in its dealings with other countries is the maxim of the civilized world and to adhere to it is the need of the day.
