Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 7: Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) today organized a day long Youth convention in Jammu under recently launched programme "Save Future of Genext Kashmiri Pandits". According to press release, under the leadership of YAIKS Chief R K Bhat the convention discussed the nomination, strategy and role of YAIKS 46 coordinators, who will represent 46 Assembly segments of Kashmir Valley they belong to. Pt R K Bhat in his address said that all political parties have miserably failed to address the short term and long term issues of community and the loud talk of return of the displaced community seems a dream. "Our existence and identity is at stake, we have no unique predicament and identity; we are still holding (temporary) Aarzi ration cards in our hands for last 3-decades in this democratic Country", he said. He further said, extreme physical and mental torture, artificial sympathies, half backed return plans and their insincere implementation do not restore KPs to their lost identity. "We are being used as tools in the hands of political parties during the time of elections. There is no political will power to ensure our permanent resettlement and comprehensive of the community", Bhat said. The convention demanded probe into the entire PM's Return, Relief and Rehabilitation Package announced way back in April, 2008. Thousands of crores of rupees has been sanctioned and transferred by the GOI to JK State govt. for the rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits but nothing has been changed so far. GOI exploits our plight to gain mileage in international standing and State leadership leaves no stone unturned to bleed India and miss lead masses. In this cress-cross like situation KPs are crushed for only fault of being Nationalists, he said. Among others who addressed the convention B K Bhat, Sunil Koul (Vice Presidents), Manoj Handoo (General Secretary) Ajay Safaya, Sanjay Ganjoo (Jt. Secretaries) Sh. D. N. Bhat and Shri B L Dhar its Advisors and Dileep Bhat, Kamal Tak, Virander Ji, Anil Ji, Naresh, Shakuntala, Indu, Sunita, Pooja, Kanchan and Kaushalya . |
