JKNPP alleges withdrawl of security to office bearers

JAMMU, Apr 9: JKNPP alleged that the security was taken off the senior party office bearers in Kashmir and in Jammu during the Lok Sabha election campaign.
As per press statement issued here , it states that Masood Andrabi, Vice President (Kashmir), Maqbool Malik, General Secretary (Kashmir), Farooq Ahmed Dar, Provincial President (Kashmir), Abdul Rashi Ganie, District President, Ganderbal (NPP Candidate for Lok Sabha from Srinagar Constituency), Anita Thakur, General Secretary (Jammu) who was awarded Rs. 2 lacs compensation from J&K Government for assault against her in 2007 near Katra during procession of NPP as well as half security withdrawn from Prof. Bhim Singh under "Z" category even when he is candidate for Lok Sabha from Jammu - Poonch.
It also states that not a single Panthers Party office bearer campaigning in Kashmir Valley or in Jammu Province has been provided any security. Not a single District President in Kashmir Valley or in Jammu Province has been provided any security cover even during the election campaign. The JKNPP is contesting three Lok Sabha constituencies in Kashmir Valley and two Lok Sabha seats in Jammu Province. Not a single State Vice President from Kashmir Valley or in Jammu Province has been provided security cover during the election campaign even.
It further states that there were three State recognized parties, National Conference, PDP & NPP. NPP is the only recognized party originated in Jammu Province which has been completely denied security cover during election campaign.
