Jammu, Apr 10: In continuation of the on-going NSS camp, a one-day awareness programme was conducted at K.C. College of Education today. It included the "Basic Training Course" comprising of first aid, CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation), fire fighting and other disaster management techniques. Speaking on the occasion, Madam Naseem Akhtar, Deputy Controller Civil Defence Jammu said that the rescue practices of civil defence are very important to deal with any mishap or disaster and every civilian should learn them The team of resource persons included Thakur Ranjit Singh, Deputy Warden Civil Defence Jammu who convened the programme, Paramjeet Kumar, Chief Warden, Civil Defence, Jammu who apprised the gathering of the objectives of Civil Defence, Purshotam Kumar and Rajinder Kumar both constables from Civil Defence, Jammu who demonstrated the rescue techniques which were appreciated by one and all. Earlier they were all accorded a warm welcome by Dr. Sanjay Tickoo, Principal of the college. Priya Gupta, Programme Officer, NSS presented the vote of thanks. |
