| It is a strange phenomenon that in the 'Parliamentary system of Democracy', we are being guided by the BJP and its battle field soldiers in election campaign to shift our approach to 'Presidential form of Democracy' and a continuous process of brain washing of the voters through election campaigns, social media, through electronic and print media as well as through editorial columns to vote for Modi ignoring the qualities, experience, in-efficiency, illiteracy, criminality of those fielded as party candidates. Everyone in this field is mesmerizing the voters as to look for the party symbol only without caring about the party candidate in contest as they look forward for the Modi to be on the driving seat. Here I like to suggest the strategists sitting in the 'Election War Rooms' that it is not denied at the root level that we require a strong leader as the head of government but in the 'Parliamentary form of Democracy', we have to elect our representative in defined constituency and not the head of the government like 'Presidential form of Democracy' as in America. So if the party wants to see the Modi as next occupier of PM's seat, they are required to field the candidates having Modi like qualities but not persons with zero delivery, illiterate, with criminal background, involved in heinous crimes and then beseeching to ignore the bio-data of their candidates and just push the party symbol. For God's sake leave it to voters to whom they want to see in the centre as head of government. Ultimately it is the wish of the people that has to prevail upon. If the wish of the people has to be brushed away the other viable solution to look Modi as PM again is to declare the Indian Democracy as 'Dictatorial form of Democracy' by amending the constitution and put a 'Full stop' to the vision of architects of the Indian Constitution of 'Parliamentary form of Democracy'. I think this might be one of the feelings of those who blame the Modi Government as 'spoiler of constitutional institutions' (although denied by the BJP dispensation).
We come across that Modi led BJP Government is projected as a government of such a party that is ruling across the four cardinal directions of the country, a strong decision making party like demonetization and GST, it is non-corrupt, it believes in 'Sarv Dharam Sambhav', and what not. When there is propagation of BJP ruling across the cardinal directions, we cannot rule out its rejection in number of states and to thumb its presence in those states it has architected alliance with regional parties having much more number of seats than BJP. Elections in many states and by-elections have exposed BJP of its claims of ruling across the nation. We remember how as a political trickery this Modi led BJP government has imposed central rule in Uttarakhand and Arunachal Pradesh that were quashed by the Apex Court. On the international scenario Modi has brought the India at a place being looked with dignity and its importance. If at all this is the criteria to shut our eyes to the Curriculum Vitae of the contesting candidates from the specified constituencies, the martial fielded by the BJP, it is not short of shortsightedness of those promoting such type of fairness, transparency and eligibility criteria of those, who are answerable to the voters of their constituency. Appears that propagators of this type of frenzy have subdued their vision and power of thinking to their masters in power and hell bent to convert the 'Parliamentary form of Democracy' to 'Presidential form of Democracy' that is not less than 'Dictatorial form of Governance'.
It will not be fair if I fail to admit the positivity seen in many fields during Modi regime but at the same time on home ground we find more negativity delivered by this government. These election strategists and their soldiers in field are just projecting the silhouette of rosy delivery only that allures the voters but lips are glued over the thorny bed placed in the public domain for common citizenry. The strong decisions like that of demonetization, a well guarded secret even from other Ministers of his cabinet, (Termed as dictates from a martial by many voices) has ruined the ever happy families when hundreds of innocent lost their lives by virtue of this move, when it failed to bring much propagated results like that of black money, curtailment of foreign funding to anti-nationals operating in valley. The much talked GST imposed in the mid of night from 'Central hall) claiming to have one nation one tax has landed middle class business community to a sea of miseries and binding up of their business units rendering crores of working hands to a struggle of two time meal. Had its belief in ''Sarv Dharam Sambhav' it would not have invited letters from US senators and members of the U.S. House of Representatives expressing "grave concerns about the increasing intolerance and violence experienced by members of particular religious minority communities". Had there been advance on security of woman the country would not have been categorized as most dangerous country for woman in world by 'Thompson and Reuters' survey 2018. Had there been advances in India for making the Democracy of the country towards bitterness, India would not have been dropped from number 27 in 2014 to number 42 in 2018 among best democracy index of 146 nations (Ranking by UK based Economic Intelligence Unit survey) ranking. The manner vicious campaign taken up by BJP is spoiling the essence of the 'Parliamentary form of Democracy', yet they claim themselves to be the watchman of Indian Democracy, when under Modi regime India has gradually slipped on an annual Global Democracy Index among 165 countries that was at 27th position in 2014, slipped to 32 in 2016, to 37th place in 2017 and to 42nd for the year 2018.Had there been shackles on corruption down below India would not have been ranked at 75 among 175 countries in corruption Index (Transparency International). On our state front, the data recently (available on search engines) released by the Ministry of Home Affairs shows that between 2014 and 2018, there has been a 93 per rise in the number of security personnel killed in terrorist incidents in Jammu and Kashmir. Besides this, these five years also saw a 176 per cent rise in the number of terrorist incidents in the state. In a reply in the Rajya Sabha, the Union home ministry has admitted that between 2016 and 2018, close to 400 terrorists infiltrated into Jammu and Kashmir. On an average, this breaks down to 11 terrorists infiltrating into the state every month in the past three years.
We have not forgotten the loud words of Modi regarding'Baap -Beta and Baap-Beti Sarkar'in election campaigns and later sharing the dais as PM with late Mufti Sahib at the CM oath ceremony, who extended his thanks to anti-nationals and militancy operators across the border for peaceful conduction of state elections. We remember the performance of BJP when it was in power sharing arrangement with PDP all time discriminatory towards the people of Jammu region, when Jammu region used to get even less than 10% in job share, glaring allegations of discrimination in JKPSC, giving occasions to raise voice for a separate PSC for Jammu, we remember how AIIMS sanctioned for Jammu was carried to valley and having Lok Sabha MPs as well as MPs for Rajya Sabha from BJP and BJP in power sharing in state government. The same BJP dispensation was in power in State and same Modi was PM when he failed to save the sanctity of J&K State Assembly at the time when pro-Pakistan and anti-India slogans resonated inside the Assembly in motion. It was the same Modi as PM who freed approximately ten thousand criminals in Kashmir on the recommendation of his interlocutor Mr. Dineshwar Mishra and innocents of Jammu region are still longing in Jail.
It is a short story that gives us reason to think hundred times before voting as to make choice for a viable candidate than to surrender to the dangerous campaign of ignoring the candidate and just to look for the symbol as some frenzied ideologists want to see Mr. Modi again as PM for their vested interests just by acting on the idiomatic phrase of 'blind following'. They should stop psychologically torturing the voters to vote in the name of Modi.
