MPEJ demands action against Mehbooba, Omar | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 11: Reacting on the statements of Ex- Chief Ministers Mehbooba Mufti & Omar Abdullah instigating the innocent public to defy vehicular ban on Wednesday & Sunday, the members of Movement for Peace, Equality & Justice said that politics in the state has gone to the lowest ebb when the Ex- Chief Ministers have no regard for laws and not only they are breaking law themselves but also asking their supporters to do it. They said that Mehbooba Mufti & Omar Abdullah want to create chaos for pity political gains and in the process in endangering lives of innocent public whom they are instigating as security forces will have no option but to use force against such persons who breaks law which may result in loss of innocent lives. They said perhaps that is what Mehbooba & Omer desires as they may get more votes by instigation of public. Only these politicians in Kashmir want to exploit situation and sentiments of the innocent public during election times to spill blood in the streets only for vote. Reminding Omar Abdullah of the unprecedented poll riggings in 1987 when his father joined hands with the then Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, the activists said it was during said Rajiv Gandhi & Farooq Abdullah accord where in about two dozen leaders of Muslim United Front (MUF) actually got elected but were arbitrarily declared defeated in J&K. This was the open murder of democracy & its democratic values at the hands of none but central Government in connivance with State Govt. This resulted in wide spread resentment against the Govt. like wild fire & this prompted the MUF leaders to vow "What could not be achieved with ballot will now be snatched with bullets". |
