4/11/2019 11:12:43 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 11: Despite refraining to contest Parliament elections, a recently floated party led by a former bureaucrat in Kashmir has been supporting candidates from "different parties and ideologies" in the ongoing polls in the country.
While the party leadership had appealed the people to vote for a particular candidate in north Kashmir's Baramulla constituency, the party is also supporting Communist Party of India candidates outside the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
One of the senior leaders of the party from Kashmir was recently seen canvassing for a communist party leader in Bihar.
Sources said this new party from Kashmir had been already lobbying outside the state and had been helped a former MLA from north audience at some functions there.
Sources said this new party is trying to keep multiple political parties in good humor and thus are changing their "ideological support depending upon time and situation".
Sources said the party looks ahead to make "national impact" in the politics and thus have extended its working even outside the state.
A party leader said even though the state chapters have not been opened in other states, the party was making an "invisible entry".
Sources said the party took decision to support candidates even outside the state of Jammu and Kashmir after holding a meeting of party leaders in Kashmir's summer capital.
Sources said the party is being advised by a "advisory council" which includes political leaders from outside the party.
Sources said though one of their leaders from central Kashmir was initially upset with their support for the Communist Party of India, he has been "made to understand the need of this political move."
Sources said the party may soon host in Kashmir some leaders from outside the state as a part of "showcase of their larger network base in the country."
Despite repeated attempts the party leaders couldn't be contacted for comments.
