JAMMU, Apr 14: A blood donation camp was organised by Power Grid, Regional Headquarters, Northern Region Transmission System-II, as a tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on his 128th birth anniversary today. The camp was organised by POWERGRID in association with Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspecialty Hospital. Remembering DrAmbedkar on his 128th birth anniversary, floral tributes were paid by employees and his family members to Baba Saheb. A book on constitution of India was also distributed to all the employees of RHQ, Jammu. Mementos as a token of appreciation and gratitude were given to all the donors. Baba Saheb all throughout his life worked rigorously to remove the disparities incorporated in societies. Commemorating Baba Saheb's contributions in removal of these disparities, organising a blood donation camp was a step to spread the message that blood has no caste, religion, yet is distinct in type, connects us all and is a great leveller. Senior officials and members of POWERGRID SC/ST, Backwards and Minorities Employees Welfare Association, NR-II, also participated in the camp and in floral tribute ceremony on 128th birth anniversary of Dr. Ambedkar. |
