| The people are totally fed up with the present awful bad scenario in the state. The height of total non sense presently prevailing in the state is that no serious efforts have been made by the successive governments for defusing the Kashmir tangle till date resulting which the people of the state had to suffer much. There is no doubt that Muftis and Abdullahs are responsible for the present mess in the state and at the same time, BJP also cannot skip from the responsibility because of the fact as it sided with pro militant PDP always as being the Coalition partner in running the state after 2015 particularly. Its ministers in the Mehbooba's cabinet acted as the henchmen of PDP. They have added fuel to the fire, in fact, for bringing this sensitive state to the present volcanic stage. If one analyses the overall ugly situation in the valley at the moment he or she will come to this conclusion that the Kashmir centric leaders are not interested at all to settle the Kashmir problem rather they want that it should go on as it is which is detrimental to the very interests of the masses in the valley. Since many decades, they are playing with the sentiments of the people in the valley as a whole. In fact, they have taken the people of the valley to ransom because of taking political mileage in the state. Neither they are interested in the development of the state and the up liftment of the poor masses as well nor for meeting with the demands of the unemployed youth of the state (both skilled and non skilled) for employments in the state. Because of the successive state Governments of Abdullahs and Muftis in the past, the state has reached to this volcanic stage. They have made Kashmir as a mess . After 1987, Jammu and Kashmir never remained stable and there always remained the uncertainty and almost total lawlessness as prevailed therein the state. All over quagmire existed and is still on thereby leaving no scope for the stability and development of the state. The militants outfits and the Separatists remained aggressive in destroying the peaceful atmosphere in the valley particularly at the behest of the neighboring country. J&K has become a quagmire of all this non sense. How long it will go as it is ? It is a serious matter for all of us in this country.
There remained always a reign of political opportunism in the state since 1953. Abdullahs and Muftis remained as the power hungry in one way or the other. Pertinent to mention here that during the NDA government under A.B. Vajpayee, National Conference remained in alliance with BJP and the former Chief Minister of the state Omar Abdullaha was the MOS in Vajpayee's cabinet. The same Omar Abdullah formed the State Government in 2009 with an alliance with the Indian National Congress (INC). Being the congressman earlier, Mufti Mohd. Sayeed remained as the Cabinet Minister in the state during the Congress rules in the state many a times. In 2015, the same Mufti Mohd. Sayeed shook hands with the BJP being the President of the PDP and he formed the State Government and became as the Chief Minister under the Agenda of Alliance. After his death in 2016, his daughter Mehbooba Mufti formed the State Government in 2016 with an alliance with the BJP once again and continued up to June 2018.After the withdrawal of the support by the BJP, her government ceased to exist and presently the state is under the President rule. Mehbooba Mufti is no more the Chief Minister and she has contested the Anantnag Lok Sabha seat once again as she had already represented Anantnag Lok Sabha as MP prior to assuming the Chief Minister office.
During her rule as the Chief Minister of the state she tried her best to introduce his younger brother into the state politics and took him as the Cabinet Minister into her cabinet. Not only this, she also floated him for the Anantnag Lok Sabha seat earlier. The election was deferred by the ECI due to the bad law and order situation. Now he is no more in the state politics but has gone to the business or the Corporate job where he was earlier. From the preceding lines of this article, it is quite clear that Abdullahs and Muftis remained very busy hectically in establishing their dynasties in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The welfare of the citizens of this state was never on their priorities. Abdullahs and Muftis left the people the state to the mercy of God and they acted as the stooges of the Central Government. It was their total power hunger, they always wanted to remain in power in the state come what may. What does it transpired ? A high level of political opportunism prevailed in the state all the time at the cost of the poor masses of the Jammu region particularly and they allowed them to suffer more badly. Another non sense was observed in the case of the delimitation of the J&K Legislative Assembly seats for the Jammu region. The Kashmir centric leadership is wise and sharp that they always tarpedoded the Delimitation Commission tp proceed further on this score. Dr. Farooq Abdullah the Chief Minister of the time had stalled the process of the Delimitation Commission and deferred up to 2026 thereby amending the J&K Constitution on this particular aspect. This was a great set back done by Dr. Farooq Abdullah to the people of the Jammu region as for the Assembly seats are concerned. This is certainly considered as the unjust political opportunism by the Kashmir centric leadership in the state. In the first Delimitation Commission, the Jammu region was given one Assembly seat for 60000 electorates of this land and whereas the Kashmir region was given one Assembly seat for 40000 electorates of the valley which was a great injustice to the Jammu region particularly and it was done during Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah's time at the behest of the first Prime Minister of India Jawahar Lal Nehru who was having the good and friendly relations with him. Right from the beginning, the Kashmir centric leadership is bent upon to discriminate the Jammu region in respect of overall development, job avenues to the youths of Jammu, promotions to the employees of Jammu, allotment of professional seats in the Medical Colleges and the Engineering Colleges in the state. They are treating the Jammuites as their slaves by all means. All the times, the Chief Ministers came from Kashmir except one when Ghulam Nabi Azad who hails from the remote village of Doda District became the Chief Minister of the state. Many Commissions were appointed by the governments in the past for enquiring into the discrimination meted out to Jammu region but all in vain. Their reports and findings were filed without any action. A very serious matter indeed.

Pertinent to mention here that the Mehbooba's Government was having lot of sympathies for the people who chose to adopt the path of militancy and have caused massive damage to the state and the nation as well since 1989. Kashmir which was 'Janat' earlier and after 1989 it has become a 'Hell' as thousands of innocents have lost their lives for the so called freedom movement launched by the various militant outfits and the Hurriayat. They and the successive governments of the state are responsible for the present state of affairs in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The State Government was totally indifferent to the Army which was aiding, defending and providing the security cover to all the sections of the society in the valley. Not only this, while doing these activities they lost their precious lives in protecting the lives of the common people from the subversive activities of the militant out fits in the valley.
Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti are continuously exploiting the people of the valley for their vested political interests on the issue of Article 370 and Article 35A (which is sub judice before the Apex Court) and saying day and night that any tinkering with these Articles of the Indian Constitution by the Central Government will lead to the destruction of the state and it will not be a part of India in future. This is their total foolishness. In the Indian polity a game of friendly politics is going on these days between the various political parties of the country. This is certainly the height of opportunism in which the innocent electorates are being exploited and ditched of course. The political parties of the country are least concerned for the future of this great country. They usually take the electorates for granted always. The challenges being faced by the country are being side lined at the cost of the nation. This is not fair at all. Some political parties are inflicted with 'Vanshwad' whereas the other are announcing the various benefits in favour of the people which they will give, if voted to power in the coming Lok Sabha elections. They consider that whatever is in the kitty of the Central Government that is their Khandan's money and they always forget that whatever is lying in the kitty is the hard earned money of the tax payers of the country. They are in the habit of spending the same for their vested interests just to grab the power in the country at all costs. Similar is the case with Dr. Farooq Abdullah, who too decided to go in the Indian Parliament making the way for his son for playing the politics in the state only. Needless to mention here that when Bhartiya Janta Party withdrew its support from the Coalition Government in the led by the former Chief Minister and PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti last year on June 19, Sajad Gani Lone Chief of the People's Conference and a member of the Mufti's cabinet first staked the claim for forming the government in the support with the Bhartiya Janta Party Legislators followed the staking of claiming for the government by the NC, PDP and INC under the Chief Minister ship of Mehbooba Mufti once again which was turned by the present Governor of the state Satya Pal Malik who imposed the Governor's Rule in the state on June20 last year without having consulted the Central Government at that time. The present Governor of the state Satya Pal Malik is on record for having said the same in support of imposing the Governor's Rule in the state on the next day. The support of the NC and INC was considered as the height of opportunism in the state politics. Day and night National Conference and the Indian National Congress were fighting with each other in the past and at that time they get united immediately and requested the Governor for forming the Coalition Government of PDP and NC thereby putting the Governor of the state Satya Pal Malik in fix. Thank God Malik Sahib acted promptly without caring for the reaction from the Central Government led by the Prime Minister Narender Modi at that time. His decision on this score was welcomed by the people of the state and the country also. Sajad Lone who was the Cabinet Minister in Mehbooba's cabinet from BJP quota staked the claim for forming the state Government in alliance with rebel MLAs of PDP. This political drama also could not be matured due to the high wisdom of the present Governor. But one thing is certainly appreciable that the Central Government presently is dealing with the Kashmir situation very firmly with the iron hands. The properties and the funds raised by the Separatists and the leaders of the Hurriayat Amalgamation are being seized, NIA has also tightened these leaders by initiating the various investigations after having filed the various FIRs in various Police Stations in the valley besides elimination of the Pak and local terrorists operating in the state with firm hands. Not only this, after arresting the leaders of the Separatists and the leaders of the Hurriayat Amalgamation, they are being shifted in the jails outside the state. Also it is really appreciable that the Bipin Rawat Army Chief has been given the free hand to deal with the present ugly situation in the valley. With all doing this, it is expected that the bad situation in the valley would be curtailed soon. |
