CLJU holds FC, Syndicate meetings

Jammu, Apr 34: The Cluster University of Jammu (CLJU) on Wednesday conducted it's first Finance Committee and first ever Syndicate meetings.
According to press release the first University Syndicate meeting and second Finance Committee meeting of Cluster University of Jammu was held today afternoon under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor, Prof. Anju Bhasin. In the meeting threadbare discussions were held on important academic, administrative and financial issues pertaining to the newly constituted university.
Dr. Jatinder Khajuria, Registrar, Cluster University of Jammu presented before the house various agenda items for confirmation and consideration. In her opening remarks, Prof. Anju Bhasin, Vice Chancellor of the University highlighted the various academic initiatives undertaken by the University to provide upgraded and innovative courses of study as per national suitability.
Arun Kumar Mehta, Principal Secretary to Govt. and Financial Advisor to Universities, J&K Govt. gave a patient hearing to the financial issues of the University and favoured early resolution of the issues. Talat Pravez Rohella, Secretary to Government Higher Education Department, J&K Government (Education Advisor Universities) J&K Government emphasised that academic excellence leading to essential skills and critical knowledge necessary for employability should be encouraged and given preference.
The meeting was attended by in Prof. Poonam Dhawan, Dean Academic Affairs, Cluster University of Jammu, Prof. Peerzada Mohd. Yousuf, Dean Academic Affairs, Cluster University of Srinagar, Prof. L.K.
