SIP School hosts Choi- Kwang-Do Inter School District Tournament

Jammu, Apr 25: Stephens International Public School, Miran Sahib hosted inter school district level Choi Kwang do Tournament, an initiative by the Choi Kwang do association of Jammu & Kashmir.
Choi Kwang do is a modern scientific martial art developed by Kwang Jo Choi which relies on flexibility and fluidity of movement and yoga based stretching.
It is purely a self-defense art. The competition was declared open by the Chief Guest Chanchal Kour District Officer, District Youth Services and Sports.
Satvinder Saini Director Stephens International Public School was the guest of honour along with special guests namely Rama Jamwal Dean Academics (SIPS), Gurdeep Singh General Secretary Mastogi do Federation of India, Kiran Jyoti Zonal Physical Officer, Dr. Amit Vaid Chairman Choi Kwang do Association J&K, Brijesh Bhau President and Technical Director along with Sardar Sukhvir Singh General Secretary of Choi Kwang do Association of J&K. Shweta Bakshi the Headmistress welcomed the revered guests and dignitaries.
The tournament will be a four day programme from 25th April to 28th April 2019 for both boys and girls under 14 and under 17 categories. The Chief Guest Chanchal Kour expressed her delight over the immense participation of various schools namely Stephens International Public school, JK Public School Kunjwani, K.V No -1 Gandhi Nagar, Govt. Middle School Makwal, Border Memorial Presentation Convent School, Doon International School, J&K Police Public School, Banyan International School, APS Ratnu Chak, GD Goenka and Jodhamal Public School. She hoped that the competition would prepare the students to grow mentally and physically besides honing their leadership skills.
