Jammu, Apr 26: Christian community in Jammu strongly condemned the incident took place on 21st of April 2019 in different Churches and hotels of Sri-Lanka, as Christians all over the world were praying in the Churches on the day of Easter Sunday (resurrection day). On this day suicide terror attack took place, in which about 290 died and more than 400 hundred got critical injuries. Attacking a praying community, peace loving people in barbaric way, whether it is a Church, Mosque, Temple, Gurudwara or any other it is a condemnable. Showing the solidarity with the Christians who became the victim of bomb blast in Sri Lanka, there was a huge peaceful candle procession in Jammu city on 26th of April, 2019 i.e. on Friday. Also the special prayer service was conducted by the Christian community in Jammu for the departed souls and injured ones. The procession was started from St. Paul's Church and preceded towards Kanakmandi, Raghunath bazaar via Residency road and culminated at Shahidi Chowk. Thousands of people young and old participated in the procession holding the lighted candles in their hands and praying for the peace in the world. |
