Principal Secretary Industries visits industrial estates of Kathua, Samba

KATHUA APRIL 29:- Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce, Navin Kumar Choudhary, today visited Industrial Estate, Bhagthali and Ghatti of Kathua.

Director Industries and Commerce Jammu, Anu Malhotra, MD SIDCO, Ravinder Kumar, DC Kathua, Vikas Kundal, ADC, Ghanshyam Singh, GM DIC Kathua, Babu Ram, GM SICOP Rajesh Pandoh and concerned officers of Industries and SICOP department accompanied him.

At Lakhanpur, Principal Secretary visited Toll Post and asked the officials of the Excise department to renovate the building and hand it over to JK Trade Promotion Organization for exhibiting State specific products to tourists.

Navin monitored the road networks, water supply, drainage system and allied common facilities at Ghatti industrial estate. He asked the concerned officers to initiate land acquisition for phase third of Ghatti industrial area besides asking for formulating proposals envisaging establishment of Dry Port and Warehouse besides Logistics Park there.

Navin instructed Director Industries to visit Ghatti with the concerned officers so that all the land related issues can be resolved at the earliest.He also discussed Textile industry related issues with the representatives of Chenab Textile Mills during the visit.

Earlier, the Principal Secretary visited the proposed site of Bhagthali Industrial area of Kathua.

Later, Choudhary visited Phase 3,2 & 1 of Samba Industrial area and emphasized on developing infrastructure including roads, water supply, electric connection and drains on priority. He also exhorted on planting more trees in and around the industrial area to arrest the pollution level.

Navin also visited JK Cement Industries, interacted with the staff and motivated them to increase production while maintaining quality.

While interacting with Industrial associations at Samba, Choudhary discussed steps taken by the department to ensure CETP establishment and other issues like connectivity of Phase 1 & 2, ESIC Hospital, single window clearance, CSR projects in consultation with DC Samba beside others.

During meeting with officers at Samba, he said that all languishing projects be monitored and completed in time with specified quality norms.
