48 Kg charas recovered

Jammu, Apr 30 : In continuation to the Case FIR No's.90/19 & 91/19 U/S 8/20 Of NDPS act dated 28/04/19 got registered at Police Station Ramban against the two accused person's namely ; Mohd Qasim and Mohd Karim Sheikh, and has recovered 18 kgs of Charas from the two vehicles(Santro's) bearingreg.no's.DL4CND/7336 & DL4CND/2099 at Shan Palace Naka,Ramban during the routine checking of vehicle's and investigation taken up. During the Course of investigation, today the above said accused person's were put to sustained questioning & they confessed about the more quantity of contraband (Charas), which they(accused person's) have kept concealed inside the vehicles.
On the Disclosure of the above said accused person's, police team including Investigating officers conducted search of the vehicles in presence of the Executive Magistrate Ramban Nazir Ahmed Mughal & recovered/seize the Charas like substance weighing about 30KG'S from both the vehicle's i.e (18KG'S from DL4CAP/7336 & 12KG'S from DL4CND/2099 respectively).The weight of the contraband was made by a team of Legal Metrology deptt Ramban led by Insp. Sh K.K.Verma. Approximately around 48 KG'S of Charas(Cannabis) has been recovered from the above mentioned vehicles i.e(26KGs & 22KGS from the vehicles respectively) & 02 accused person's has been arrested so for. Any further progress during the course of investigation will be communicated separately. The whole operation was carried out by police party led by SHO Ramban insp. vijay Kotwal under the supervision of DYSP HQRS Ramban Asgar Malik Adll.SP Sh Sanjay Parihar and under Overall Supervision of SSP Ramban Anita Sharma.It is pertinent to mention here that Ramban Police under supervision of SSP Ramban has launched a special drive against the menace of Smuggling of Drugs. Carrying forward the special drive, Ramban Police have achieved a major successes by recovering the huge quantities of drugs during the current year 2019,which include; Charas=70Kgs,851gms, Poppy Straw=17Qntls,&30kgs, Injections=907, Tablets=3870 and Chitta=60grams
