Vayu House clinches Women's Kabaddi Title, Jal Men's Kho-Kho

Jammu, Apr 30: The inter house Kabaddi and Kho Kho tournaments of 'SARANG' 2019 under women and men categories respectively, came to an end today at the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University. 5 houses namely Aakash, Agni, Jal, Prithvi and Vayu participated with great zest and zeal in the tournaments under both Women and Men categories. The matches were played in knock out basis in the preliminary phases which were followed by semi finals and finals. In an exciting contest which witnessed an enthusiastic participation, the Jal team went on to register a fantastic win over the fiercely competitive Vayu team in Kho Kho (Men). In another nail biting final that took place today itself, the Vayu women proved themselves by defeating the Prithvi team. The tournaments were successfully coordinated by the student coordinators, Rahul Sharma and Anmol Sharma.
The matches were officiated by Sucha Singh, Sumit Sharma and Balbir Singh, who were also seen guiding the students to showcase their best, throughout.
Vice Chancellor, Prof. D. Mukhopadhyay, Dr. Ashutosh Vasishtha, Prof. Ashok Kumar Sharma congratulated all the winners.
