Panchs, Sarpanchs of Gujroo Nagrota demand BDO's transfer | | | Early Times Report KATHUA, Apr 30: A deputation of Panchs and Sarpanchs of Block Gujroo Nagrota in tehsil Ramkot of district Kathua today called on ADC Billawar to apprise him of the alleged misconduct of the block Development Officer (BDO), Gujroo Nagrota. The deputation informed the ADC that the government had issued an order with respect to imparting training to newly elected Panchs and Sarpanchs for three days and the process was held in all the blocks for three days except in Block Gujroo Nagrota where the training period was shortened to a single day while the entire exercise was conducted by the Village Level Worker instead of the BDO as envisaged in the order. They alleged that the concerned BDO had not made elaborate arrangements for the trainee Panchs and Sarpanchs of Block Gujroo Nagrota adding that the behaviour of the BDO towards general public is also not up to the mark as he usually asks people to see the clercks for the redressal of any complaint or grievance. The deputation urged the ADC to issue transfer orders of the BDO within 15 days otherwise the Panchs and Sarpanchs of Block Gujroo Nagrota would sit on protest dharna. The deputation comprises of several women Panchs and Sarpanchs of the area. |
