Tehsildar Doda inspect market, fine 30000

Doda, May 6: A team headed by ACR Doda Kesar Bhawani, Tehsildar Doda Shabir Malik alongwith other district officers on the direction Deputy Commissioner, conducted surprise market checking in Doda town besides some footpaths were cleared of encroachments.
The market checking was aimed at maintaining good quality of food articles, against the business establishments on road side like Rehari's and wrong parking in town area and reviewed development activities besides taking stock of problems being faced by the people. During the market checking, ACR Doda Kesar bhawani & Tehsilar Doda Shabir Malik warned the shopkeepers against displaying their commodities on road and footpath and said that strict action will be taken against those found doing so. They also instructed the Municipal authorities to remove the encroachments on lanes and roads so that the drainage system is improved and maintained.
Meanwhile, the quality of mutton, chicken, fruits, vegetables and sweets was checked during the visit, beside various instructions were also issued to the shopkeepers. However, all the fruit sellers and meat sellers were instructed to keep the meat and other eatables covered so as to protect against dust and unhygienic agents.
The team also checked the rates of essential commodities including mutton, chicken and other basic items and fined 30000.
