Early Times Report Jammu, May 6: A court in Sopore on Monday rejected the bail applications of two persons who were involved in issuing fake appointment in Military Engineering Services (MES). According to the police case, a complaint was received on April 16, 2019 from four persons alleging that one Gulshan Kumar, son of Puran Chand, of Jaralin, Bishna (Jammu), and Bashir Ahmad Dar, of Dalgate, Srinagar have taken an amount of Rs 8 lakh from them for appointment in the MES. The complainants further alleged that appointment orders were subsequently issued to them with a stipulation that they should report at Headquarters 134 MES located at Pattan. The four persons further alleged that when they reported for joining, no such battalion namely 134 MES could be located at Pattan. The aggrieved individuals rued that Gulshan and Bashir had duped them by issuing fake appointment orders against receipt of aforementioned amount. Based on this complaint, the police registered case under sections 420 and 468 of RPC, and arrested Gulshan and one Shahnawaz Ahmad Bhat while Bashir Ahmad Dar is still at large. |
