9 MOs found absent; salary withheld; show cause notices being issued

RAJOURI MAY 10: District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, today inspected District Hospital Rajouri and took stock of healthcare facilities there besides listening to patients issues.

Deputy Commissioner expressed dismay over mismanagement at the registration window leading to long queues of patients and attendants and asked the concerned to look into this lackadaisical approach of the staff there.

Later, Deputy Commissioner went to various sections of hospital and found that a number of Medical Officers and officials were absent from duty.

After verification of the biometric attendance and physical attendance register, salary of the absentees has been withheld and Chief Medical Officer was asked to serve show cause notice to Dr Anil (dental surgeon),Dr Sachin Vaid (medical officer),Dr Syed Shuja Qadri ),Dr Tarseem Kumar, Dr mushtaq Ahmed , Dr Sonia Nagyal, Dr shamim akhter, Dr Qasi Mohammad Iqbal, Dr Jahan Ara (medical officer).

Meanwhile, the DDC asked the ADC and CMO to conduct enquiry into the matter and submit the report within three days.

Meanwhile, Medical superintendent has been asked to install more Biometric machines.
