No ration for poor in Kishtwar

Jammu, May 15: Kishtwar District which has witnessed multi crore ration scandal including under the jurisdiction of Tehsil Supply Officer Kishtwar wherein ration meant for BPL were sold in Black market while the accused having political patronage are roaming free, yet another case of harrasment of a poor man by the department of CAPD has come forward from Drabshalla area where a poor man has been denied the new ration card and was force to run from pillar to post.
As per the details available with Early Times, one Bashir Ahmed son of Ibrahim Gujjar resident of Kewa, Tehsil Bhunzwah falling under TSO Drabshalla like other ration card holders applied for issuence of new ration card, but same was denied to him despite repeated request and as such denied him the legitimate ration.
The victim in his application submitted to DC Kishtwar stated that he even approach the Tehsildar Bhunzwah who directed the TSO Drabshalla to issue ration card to him, but TSO Kishtwar shows non serious approach towards the direction issued by him to TSO concern.
After getting dejected he was force to travel 60 KM with only aim to approach DC Kishtwar so that his issue could get resolved by issuing ration card to him.
After giving patience hearing to the aggrieved person, DC Kishtwar seeks reason from AD CAPD that why ration was denied to the applicant beside also directed him to issue ration to him.
Speaking to Early Times, Bashir Ahmed said that he was suffering on part of the TSO Drabshalla without his fault added that he had even Job card issued by the RDD department and question the indifferent attitude of the TSO Drabshalla and concern dealer. He urged upon the government to address his issue.
When contacted dealer Maqbool Ahmed said that he received no ration from the department on his name added that in case he received ration on his name, same will be given to him.
He said that the issue pertains to TSO concern and once ration card was issued on his name, he will start getting ration like other ration card holders.
