Early Times Report
DODA, May 25: In brazen violation of the orders of J&K High Court, the School Education department did not consider one of its employees for promotion before his retirement.
The High Court had issued directions to the department in response to SWP No.30/2017 titled Chur Chand v/s State and others to consider the petitioner for the benefit of promotion. But, the Director, School Education department has failed to resolve the issue till date.
Chur Chand was a senior assistant in the department and was supposed to be promoted as head assistant before his retirement.
It is pertinent to mention here that the higher authorities in government including the Chief Secretary of the state and in-charge grievances redressal cell had also asked the Directorate of School Education Jammu to take necessary action in light of the court directions, but the officers at the helm of affairs have turned a deaf ear towards the case.
The petitioner has since been running from pillar to post for seeking justice and has represented to the Governor Satyapal Malik also, appealing him to intervene personally into the matter so that justice is done to him. Chand said that he has suffered considerable loss due to the callous attitude of the School Education department towards his genuine grievances.
