"Prachar Vibhag Workshop" of Bhartiya Shiksha Samiti begins

Jammu, June 8: A two-day "Prachar Vibhag Workshop" being organized by Bhartiya Shiksha Samiti, J&K was inaugurated at Narayan Bhawan, Ambphalla here today.
Kshetriya Prachar Pramukh, Rajinder ji was the chief guest of the inaugural session and main resource person of this two-day workshop. President of Bhartiya Shiksha Samiti, J&K, Ved ji and senior journalist Sh. Uday Bhaskar ji were also present on the occasion. The programme started with lighting of traditional lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana.
In his inaugural address, Sh. Rajinder ji dwelt on the role of media in development of the society in general, and education in particular. He said, "It is disturbing and harmful to see so many negative things being reported in media. Hence, it is necessary to bring positive things to the fore." Vidya Bharati is a largest non-governmental educational society across the world and imparting Indian values based education to the students to make them cultured and civilized citizens, he added.
He said it was first such kind of workshop being organized for strengthening the "Prachar" work in J&K and equip the participants with the know-how of media and publicity. He asked the participants to establish link with media persons and regularly provide them the information related to positive activities being held in schools run by Bhartiya Shiksha Samiti, J&K.
He further asked them to upgrade their skills to handle social media which is fast catching among the people and students as well. "The students are also using social media and they need to be told about its use in positive manner," he advised participants.
Ved ji also expressed his views on the role of media and its utilization for the betterment of education sector. He urged the participants to make good use of the workshop to enhance their skills.
The programme was ably compered by Prachar Pramukh BSS J&K, Dr. Vivek Sharma. State Organizing Secretary, Pradeep ji, Treasurer BSS J&K, Satish Mittal ji, Hari Bhushan ji and Dr Naresh Sharma besides members of the Prachar Vibhag Devender Padha, Amit Sharma, Subash Verma, Vikrant Singh and Atul also remained present on the occasion.
