Two-day "Prachar Vibhag Workshop" of BSS concludes

Jammu, June 9: The first ever two-day "Prachar Vibhag Workshop" of Bhartiya Shiksha Samiti (BSS), J&K being held at Narayan Bhawan, Ambphalla here concluded today.
A total of four sessions were held during the day in the participants were told about the ways and means to handle the media. The first session was held on "Use of Social Media" which was jointly chaired by Dr Vivek Sharma and Amit Sharma.
In the second session, participants were made aware about the role of pictures in disseminating information to the masses. The session was chaired by Kshetriya Prachar Pramukh, Rajinder ji. He mentioned that a precise picture can deliver the message effectively to the target section and can be used at a place where it is difficult to describe the situation in words.
Prof Govind Singh, HoD Mass Communication and New Media, Central University of Jammu, was the resource person of the third session.
The last session was held on "Writing Skills" which was chaired by senior journalist Nishikant Khajuria. He offered valuable tips to the participants on writing impactful and objective media releases. He also answered queries of participants on the topic.
The concluding session was addressed by State Organizing Secretary, Pradeep ji. He expressed satisfaction over the successful conduct of the workshop and appreciated the efforts of Prachar Vibhag. He urged the participants to take effective steps to fulfill their responsibility. "Bhartiya Shiksha Samiti, J&K is holding many activities which are unique and value based, and is required to be publicized for betterment of the society," he advised them.
On the occasion, he announced the team of "Prant Prachar Vibhag" which included Dr Vivek Sharma as State Prabhari, Amit Sharma as Prachar Pramukh, Devender Padha as Prant Samwaddata and Vikrant Singh as Prant Social Media Incharge. Prominent among those present included President BSS J&K, Ved Bhushan ji, Manoj ji, Satish Mittal ji and Dr Naresh Sharma.
