Confused' BJP leadership not giving timeframe for setting up delimitation commission 6/12/2019 12:00:45 AM Early Times Report Jammu, June 11: Despite supporting the demand of constituting delimitation commission to redrawing assembly constituencies in the State, BJP leaders are giving confusing statements on timing of setting the panel and timeframe to submit recommendations. For the last one week, BJP leaders are openly supporting move of the Union Home Ministry to set up delimitation commission but they are not giving any timeframe to complete the process. Credible sources said that local BJP leaders are themselves not aware of the plan of the Union Government so they are not in a position to give any time frame to get the whole process completed. Taking advantage of the ambiguous stand taken by state BJP leadership on timeframe of setting up delimitation commission and submitting of its report, opposition parties have started mounting pressure on the party to corner BJP leadership on this issue. Panthers Party has already staged a protest demonstration on setting up delimitation commission and other parties have also warned to launch the agitation The Congress had already doubted BJP's intention to set up a panel to re-draw the Assembly constituencies.
