VC JU flags off Trekking Expedition

Jammu, June 27: In an endeavour to encourage youth to take part in adventure sports, Prof Manoj Dhar, Vice Chancellor. University of Jammu today flagged off the Trekking Expedition headed by Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Director Sports, which is going to be held at MARKHA, the World famous track in Ladakh region of J&K State organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu. This expedition is first of its kind in the history of University of Jammu in which about 30 participants including officials are going to participate. Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dhar said that promoting such activities is one of the priorities of the University administration and assured full support to the department. Prof Dhar also conveyed his best wishes to the trekkers and congratulated the Directorate of Sports and physical education university of Jammu for organizing such expedition in the golden Jubilee year of University of Jammu . He also directed the Directorate to organize more events of national and international recognition in the future.
Among others Sh. P.D Singh, Rajkumar Bakshi, Vikas Karlopia, Madan Gopal, Sat pal, Kuljeet and Kamal Singh were also present on the occasion.
