23 bovines rescued by Rajouri police | | | Early Times Report RAJOURI, June 28: Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri district foiled two separate bovine smuggling bids and rescued 23 bovines from the clutches of smugglers. Team of police headed by SHO Thanamandi Javed Malik under the supervision of SDPO Thanamandi Mohammad Siddique intercepted a vehicle JK22- 3646 intercepted during checking at Naka point. Vehicle which was driven by Zakir Hussain son of Lal Hussain was frisked and found loaded with 08 bovine animals. The vehicle was seized on the spot and bovines were rescued while driver was also arrested. Similarly, a team of police headed by SHO Dharamsal Amit Singh under the supervision of SDPO Nowshera Brijesh Sharma and and rescued 15 bovines from the clutches of bovine smuggler Mohammad Shabir son of Mohammad Bashir resident of Marla khawas. Bovines were being smuggled via foot towards Srinagar. A case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Dharamsal police station. |
