BANDIPORA, June 29: In the age of science and technology, scores of people in Sonawari constituency of Bandipora district are disappointed from their political leaders who have failed to uplift the area in various fields from last many years.
According to the locals of Sonawari constituency that from past many years they have been telling their representatives to find out the place where they dump the garbages so that the area will remain clean.
We are lacking of basic facilities as the roads are in shambles, electricity, health, education, PHE, and other sectors are completely disappointed, the successive governments has failed to bring any relief to the rural masses, said local of Hajin area.
He said that our political leaders have failed to deliver as per their aspirations and promises made by them from time to time, and at present there is nothing visible that could be appreciated as they had said during their long speeches during elections.
"The conditions of the roads in the constituency remain the same for past several years, despite the fact that the present MP of north Kashmir is from our village, but still then several problems in the area remain unaddressed due to the indifferent attitude of the legislator, said a local resident of Sonawari.
Sources said that the health department has no sufficient infrastructure and patients are usually referred to other nearby hospitals for minor complications.
If we talk of centrally sponsored schemes, be it MGNREGA, IAY, or any other schemes, there are reports that all near and dear one of political workers were adjusted, and with the result the local educated youth have been left on political grounds.
There is an open loot of sand from the nearby nullahs, and people at the helm of affairs are hardly bothered about the future consequences, in the past we have witnessed the floods, and if the practice remains continue, we will be at lost, said locals of Banyari.
There is a shortage of medical staff at some of the healthcare units in our district and especially in Sonawari constituency, we were told that, all the facilities will be provided after they win the elections, and so for no developmental change has occurred, sources informed to ET.
