| DDC Udhampur reviews implementation of BBBP Scheme | | |

UDHAMPUR, June 29: District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Dr Piyush Singla chaired a meeting of district officers of various departments to finalize the schedule of activities for effective implementation of "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao" scheme in the district.
DDC stressed on involving all stakeholders for effective implementation of the scheme. He also advocated for conducting massive awareness programmes in the District for maximum impact under the scheme. DDC asked all district officers to speak for 5 minutes on BBBP in every awareness programme.
General public was appealed to come forward and participate in save girl child campaign and inform about the person involved in sex determination and get a suitable reward up to one lakh, adding that, identity of informer will not be disclosed. DDC appealed to all the stakeholders of the district to actively participate for the successful implementation of the scheme. He called upon the people to come forward for availing the benefits of various social security schemes and programmes. All district officers, including BDOs, CDPOs, BMOs, MOs were present in the meeting. |
