Dozens feared dead in Kishtwar road Accident | | |

Kishtwar July 1: In another tragic July accident on Kishtwar-Keshwan road, nearly two dozen passengers feared dead when a mini bus bearing Reg No. JK17-6787 meet with an accident near Sirgwari some 25 KM from Kishtwar. As per the details available with Early Times, the ill fated Vehicle was on its way to Kishtwar when the driver of the vehicle lost his control as a result of which the vehicle sikked of the road and fall into deep gorge. As soon as the news of the accident reaches to the people, the people from adjoining areas immediately rush to the spot and started rescue and relief operation. They were later joined by the Administration, police, army and volunteers of Ababeel. The initial report suggested that more than 45 passengers including children's were on board the vehicle when it meet with fatal accident. Speaking to Early Times, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana confirm 10 dead bodies has received at District Hospital Kishtwar while 7 injured are being treated in the hospital. He said the death toll could go high as rescue operation is still on as several people are to be retrieved from the accident site. Meanwhile District Administration Kishtwar had requested Indian Air Force for airlifting the Injured patients to Jammu beside hospital authorities appeal for blood donation. It is pertinent to mention last year on this very road 25 passengers died when a mini bus meet with an accident nearly 5 KM ahead from the present accidental spot. |
