Jammu, July 1: Members of NGO Jiyo Aur Jeene Do organized an awareness programme on Health and Environment at Govt Higher Secondary School Chenani, Tehsil Chenani with A motive to create awareness among children . The President of NGO Tariq Shah , resource person of NGO Arti Thakur , Programme Co ordinator Sahil, Volunteer Sanjeet and others participated in the programme and highlighted the role of cleanliness in Health and also emphasised the need to conserve environment. While speaking in the awareness camp the President of NGO Tariq Shah motivated children to adopt healthy habits to keep themselves healthy and to quit bad habits of all sorts. He said, " Today we are all going away from our own culture and traditions and have adopted many harmful substances as a part of our life style like using plastic bags, utensils and fast food etc which have destroyed health. This is the time that we must quit all such habits that affect our health adversely and immediately approach the doctor in case of any symptom of fever, bodyache, redness in eyes etc. At the same time we must plant trees to conserve environment. As per specific directions from District administration to encourage ' Beti padao, Beti bachao' plants were planted by girl children including Sakshi, Abha, Mania. " Resource person of NGO Arti Thakur also highlighted the importance of conserving water, adopting healthy habits as well as cleaning environment. Along with Worthy Principal Satya Chaudhary, Ajay Gupta, Sunil Kumar, Vikram Singh and other staff members were present. |
